Job title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (RN ER)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides care for patients experiencing acute medical conditions or injuries. They triage patients, administer medication, perform treatments, and work closely with a team of doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide top-notch emergency care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Triage patients and assess their medical needs
2. Administer medication and treatments according to physician orders
3. Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
4. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during times of crisis
6. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
7. Participate in emergency preparedness drills and education
8. Stay current on the latest emergency care procedures and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
3. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Ability to remain calm under pressure
7. Prior experience in ER or critical care preferred
